Woodlawn Neighborhood Farmers Market

Every Saturday 10AM-2PM from May 20 - October 28

At the Woodlawn Neighborhood Farmers Market, we strive to build a strong community and a thriving environment around a healthy and accessible food system.  In doing so, we hope to create mindful consumers that respect and protect each other and our planet for generations to come.

Inside/Out: A pop-up Gallery!

This gallery was built by teachers and high school students at Victory Academy, a non-profit school for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Sherwood, Oregon.

The Inside/Out project grew out of our desire and increasing sense of responsibility to share the treasure chest that has become Victory Academy’s student art collection! It is a mobile art space for students to share their work and connect with the broader community through a celebration of the arts. The artwork displayed in this show represents Victory Academy students from elementary to high school.

We are very grateful to those students and staff who have worked so hard to make this project possible. And we are so excited to share our art with the community at the Woodlawn Farmer’s Market!

Urban Farming Workshop with RAD Family Farm

Chad Bennett is an urban farmer who graduated from Florida State University with a B.S in Biology and is finishing up his Urban Agriculture certificate at Clackamas Community College. He switched careers after working in the tech industry, and is experimenting with a variety of techniques to grow amazing salad mix for RAD Family Farm! His focus is on using organic practices and taking care of the soil to ensure the health of his plants. This includes minimal tillage, cover cropping, and crop rotations. Come to this FREE talk to learn about Chad's 1/5 acre urban farming in SE Portland, and ask him all of your urban farming questions! Free coffee and pastries provided. All are welcome!

Bilingual Cooking and Yoga Workshop for Kids!

This FREE workshop for kids will start with a bilingual yoga class (English and Spanish) taught by Alyssa Grant, founder of Habla Yoga. We'll continue with a bilingual cooking class, lead by Chino Perez of Kichana. The cooking class will center around fresh produce from the market, and will teach the young audience not only about where their food comes from, but how they can turn it into something creative and delicious!
